I am sorry to say that my book, Everyday Art for Kids, is now out of print. Used copies are available at Amazon.com. * Everyday Art for Kids was a 1998 winner of a Parent's Guide to Children's Media award, and received warm reviews from parenting and teacher's publications. It was a featured resource of American Montessori Consulting, was made the docent handbook at a hands-on children's museum in Berkeley, California, and is even being used as a training book for new teachers in a group of schools in Namibia. It is used by parents, homeschoolers, scout leaders and classroom teachers looking for thoughtful, open-ended art projects that emphasize creativity and promote a life-long love of art. In addition to the book, my site Everyday Art had a teacher's page with art curriculum ideas. These were so popular that several remain here, on the Curriculum page, so that they can be available to teachers everywhere free of charge. Remember when you use these copyrighted lessons to please credit their source. Meanwhile I have to say it has been such a rewarding experience over the past few years to receive so many wonderful emails from readers, with your messages of appreciation, interesting questions and delightful feedback about doing the projects with classes, scout troops, grandchildren.... My heartfelt thanks to you all!
